Introducing Talka2.0

New typing system

The first thing you’ll notice when dictating is the way Talkatoo handles the transcription. Talkatoo now transcribes in full words as opposed to ‘typing’ out every keystroke. This provides a more visually pleasing transcription experience.

Overall Performance Upgrades

In general, Talkatoo will just feel and perform better. We’ve made stability improvements, increased performance, and reduced bandwidth requirements. Talkatoo now uses less resources when not dictating..

Although this isn’t a visible change, you should notice an improvement when dictating, as well as an improvement when you aren’t dictating.

Additional Spoken Punctuation Commands

You asked, and we listened. We’ve added the ability to dictate “New line”, after which Talkatoo will now jump to the next line on your screen without needing to interact with your keyboard. To use this feature, make sure spoken punctuation is toggled on in your Talkatoo settings.
